Lawn Road Retreat is ideal for large groups wanting a spacious, luxury setting for family reunions, birthdays, wellness retreats, corporate getaways, workshops, or multi-family holidays. Every bedroom has its own ensuite, making it perfect for groups who want comfort and privacy alongside shared social spaces.

How many people can the retreat accommodate?

The retreat comfortably hosts large groups of twenty with multiple bedrooms, ensuites, and generous indoor and outdoor living areas designed to make group stays easy.

What activities and facilities are available?

Guests can enjoy a saltwater pool, tennis court, fire pit, pizza oven, ping pong, croquet, volleyball, lawn games, petanque and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas. It’s a property designed for both relaxation and fun.

Is the property private?

Yes. Lawn Road Retreat sits on a peaceful rural block surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and farmland. The location feels secluded while still being just minutes from Hawke’s Bay’s main centres.

How close is Lawn Road Retreat to local attractions?

The retreat is centrally located in Hawke’s Bay, making it easy to access wineries, beaches, walking trails, cycleways, farmers markets, shops, and restaurants within a short drive.

Are there catering options available?

Yes. You’re welcome to self-cater in the fully equipped kitchen or bring in a private chef. Pen can provide recommendations for local chefs and caterers familiar with the property.

How much parking is there on site?

There’s on-site parking for ten vehicles. Additional parking space is available for events.

Do you allow children?

Absolutely. The retreat is family-friendly, with lots of spaces and activities suitable for kids.

Can I host an event on the property?

Yes—small celebrations, wellness workshops, and group events are welcome. Just let us know the nature of your gathering so we can ensure everything runs smoothly. Please note that a venue hireage fee may apply for numbers over and above those staying.

How equipped is the kitchen?

The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances like a thermomix, magimix, rice cooker, crookpot and airfryer. There are plates and knives and forks that comfortably cater to 20. There are three large fridges, two bar fridges, three ovens, four dishwashers and two washing machines at the property.

Yes. Lawn Road Retreat is well suited to corporate stays, offsite meetings, and team-building retreats, with spacious living areas and peaceful surroundings ideal for focus and connection.
