Here’s a little about our story. What makes us tick and our Why. Mostly our why has been to create a place where our guess can have a true holiday. To share time and space with their loved ones in a beautiful setting and really be able to connect. We’ve worked hard to create an environment where our guests never feel the need to leave the property. Where there’s lots of activities, lots of entertaining areas able to cater to large groups and and places to retreat to to have some quiet time too. We’ve tried to tick every box so that our guests are never left wanting during their stay.

YOUR HOSTS

We’re Pen and James Cropper, your hosts. Our dream was to create a truly special place where friends and family are able come together and enjoy the most wonderful of times all the while creating truly enduring memories. We’ve made sure there are lots of activities for you to enjoy so that you don’t feel the need to leave the property. We have also made sure that there are lots of places for you to be able to retreat to too and curl up with a good book. Equally we’ve and places for you all to come together and celebrate the good times and significant events. A place where you can share love, laughter and good times with your loved ones and leave the property with enduring memories that will last a lifetime.

OUTSTANDING LOCATION

Rural yet centrally located between all the main centres and a 5 minute cycle to the renown Hawkes Bay Cycle Trail and close to Cape Kidnappers Golf Course, wineries like Craggy Range, Clearview and Black Barn, Lawn Road Retreat has the most wonderful location.

  • This property is just brilliant with plenty of space. u003cbru003eWe really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back.
  • Lawn Road Retreat exceeded our expectations when we stayed for the Hawke’s Bay marathon event this year. So much so that we immediately booked it again for next year. It’s rare to find a holiday home of such high quality and we all felt instantly at home in the many welcoming and comfortable spaces. So much so that we chose to eat in instead of going out to dinner! The owners had thought of everything and it was a real bonus to have fresh eggs from their chooks. We only wished that we could have stayed for longer. Looking forward to next May already!
