Entertaining at Lawn Road Retreat is a breeze with this built in Weber BBQ. The cupboard to the left of this unit has an outdoor fridge. This is also a WilliamsWarn Kegerator fridge. If you have WilliamsWarn BrewKeg at home you are welcome to bring your keg to Lawn Road Retreat and enjoy it during your stay.

Lawn Road Retreat has a large number of outdoor areas where guests can relax, celebrate and enjoy their time together. All the while soaking up the beautiful surrounds.

EXPANSIVE GROUNDS

A pic of the large lawn where games like cricket and soccer can be played. Such a lovely rural setting yet amazing to think that Lawn Road Retreat is so centrally located and a very short drive to Hastings, Havelock North and Napier.

CHOOKS

We love the Lawn Road Retreat chooks and so do our guests. Collecting the eggs each day has been reported to be a highlight for the kids time and time again. What better way too to sustainably get rid of all the food scraps. It really is a win win.

PRIVATE

Lawn Road Retreat is well off the road so very secluded and set in a wonderful rural setting. The owners live beside the retreat in a completely separate and private dwelling but are on hand to help if needed with anything.

  • Lawn Road Retreat exceeded our expectations when we stayed for the Hawke’s Bay marathon event this year. So much so that we immediately booked it again for next year. It’s rare to find a holiday home of such high quality and we all felt instantly at home in the many welcoming and comfortable spaces. So much so that we chose to eat in instead of going out to dinner! The owners had thought of everything and it was a real bonus to have fresh eggs from their chooks. We only whished that we could have stayed for longer. Looking forward to next May already!

    Plenty of room for all, multiple living areas and wonderful outdoor entertainment space with fireplace.
    The pool and spa were both a welcome relief after our day on the bikes. We loved the free range chickens too.
    Close proximity to wineries and other points of interest. Thoroughly recommend.
