Lawn Road Retreat was designed for exactly this — a place where different generations can actually enjoy being together. Eight ensuite bedrooms means grandparents aren’t bunking with teenagers. Multiple living areas mean the group can be together or apart. And there’s enough on the property to keep everyone occupied without anyone having to agree on what to do.

Many of our families come back year after year — for 60ths, 65ths, and already planning the 70th. It becomes the tradition.

A kids’ playground, a dedicated cubby house, and a jumbo Springfree tramp. Plus the property’s chickens – collecting the eggs each day is a genuine highlight for younger guests.

Hot tub evenings, lazy afternoons by the pool, wood-fired pizzas. Add pickleball, croquet, tennis, lawn games, outdoor table tennis – and when the sun goes down, everyone ends up around the outdoor fire.

“Lawn Road Retreat is the perfect inter-generational place to stay. The manicured property is kitted out with activities for every age group to enjoy together or independently. We celebrated a 70th birthday with family ages from 3 through to 78 years. Everything from feeding the chickens to playing croquet — which was a favourite — darts, pool, tennis, table tennis, cornhole, football was enjoyed. Pen was very helpful and communicative. We arranged a catered meal for one dinner but the rest of the time we self catered. Plenty of fridge space and cooking options. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and configured to accommodate families and individuals. We absolutely loved the three day stay and created such beautiful memories and a ton of laughs. Three year old wants to have another holiday there.”
